Project Management Certification Preparation
This course (TheCourse™) was developed and is conducted by a
Registered Education Provider of the Project Management Institute (PMI®).
It is pre-approved by PMI to prepare students for certification as Project
Management Professionals (PMP®). Course materials
include PMI's Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge 3rd Edition (PMBOK®),
workbooks tailored for the course, and TheTest™, a Test Engine containing
1,000 exam-like questions, to download and use on your own computer. TheCourse
teaches the core competencies of project management. It covers the five process
groups and nine knowledge areas of PMBOK, the PMP code of ethics and
professional conduct, and a review of general management topics that are on the
PMP examination. Project management is an evolving profession, and employers are
increasingly requiring that their project managers be certified. See

TheCourse online is multi-media, comprised of approximately
650 web pages with voice plus numerous related linked papers. It consists of 16
segments following
TheCourse outline.
It can be started at any time and taken at the student's pace, so long as it is
completed within six months. Each online student will download TheTest. It will
be used to answer questions that follow most segments, to browse upwards of
1,000 questions and answers, and to emulate the actual timed certification
examination.
The
student forum will
be used to conduct dialog with instructors and other students.
System requirements include Microsoft Internet Explorer
version 6, Netscape version 7 or Mozilla Firefox 1.0.
TheTest has been tested on Microsoft Windows 2000 and XP.
Cost: $895 includes text and materials.
A copy of PMBOK® Guide Third Edition and a printed copy of
the student workbooks will be mailed to the student.
