Sign Language


Learn the art of "speaking with your hands", the fifth most widely used language in America. You will learn basic hand signs and how to put them together to form words, phrases, and sentences. You will learn both versions of sign language: American sign language and English sign language. Play games, practice signing with individuals who are deaf, and learn about deaf culture and language. After mastering Level 1, you can advance to Level 2, Level 3, and Level 4 to receive a more in depth look at "hand speaking".

INSTRUCTOR: Denise Carroll has signed and interpreted for the hearing impaired for the Disney University and taught sign language for the school district of Osceola County, Florida. She has
taught for GSW Continuing Education for several years.
