Building PDF Files with Adobe Acrobat
(3 Hours)
Adobe PDF is a universal file format that preserves all of the fonts,
formatting, colors, and graphics of any source document, regardless of the
application and platform used to create it. Adobe PDF files are compact and can
be shared, viewed, navigated, and printed exactly as intended by anyone with the
free Adobe Acrobat Reader. Here are some of the many communication and
collaboration possibilities with Adobe Acrobat products:
- Create downloadable documents, including course guides, research findings,
personnel forms, homework assignments, and club newsletters
- Distribute documents to educators, students, business partners, parents,
and alumni via the Web, email, or CD-ROM
- Print out and review in-progress research, papers, and reports with Adobe
Acrobat Reader
- Make the review or grading process even more effective with the ability to
make on-screen annotations
- Distribute on-screen presentation and digital newsletters as Adobe PDF
files, ensuring the exact layout and type configurations of the program in
which it was produced (for example, WordPerfect, Adobe InDesign and Word)
- Use Adobe PDF files for archiving searchable documents
The goal in this class is to, through hands-on instruction, help you:
- Utilize the power of Acrobat
- Create PDF documents
- Create PDF documents for the web
- Capture websites as PDF documents
- Optimize PDF documents
