Racquetball has many health benefits……

This course is intended to acquaint you with the fundamentals of playing racquetball. By the end of the course, you should know the rules of the game, various serving and receiving techniques, and understand some strategies for playing the game. You will also know the rules and techniques for variations of the game (singles vs. doubles vs. cut-throat).

EQUIPMENT: Protective Eye guards are mandatory. You will not be allowed to play without wearing Protective Eye guards. These are cheap insurance against injury and/or blindness. You also must wear gym (tennis) shoes of some sort; street shoes or any type of black-soled shoes are not permitted. Dress appropriately for exercise with loose-fitting clothing such as T-shirt and shorts with optional sweat suit. You need to provide your own racquet and racquetballs.

Fun single-elimination tournament will be held at last session with winner receiving a GSW T-shirt.

LOCATION:            GSW Student Success Center Racquetball Courts

INSTRUCTOR:        Chuck Wachob - Mr. Wachob has 32 years
                               experience teaching racquetball to ages
                               youth to adult.  He taught 22 years at the YMCA. 
                               He has also taught at community centers and
                               recreation centers.

FEE:                        $39
                               (Bring a friend and both fees are $10 off the
                               regular fee.)
